Welcome to Goldthorpe Psychology. I’m Dr Robin Goldthorpe, a clinical psychologist with nearly a decade of experience working in mental health. I offer structured, evidence-based talking therapies across the UK, with a particular focus on helping you understand why you feel the way you do and how to better manage the emotions you experience.

Therapy with me takes place in a safe, confidential, and informal space where you can talk openly about your mental wellbeing. My approach is compassionate and person-centred, which means I treat everyone I work with as a unique individual. While I draw on numerous psychological therapies with my clients, I tailor each session to suit your goals and what matters most to you.

I know reaching out for support can feel daunting. That’s why I aim to be warm, approachable, and flexible in how I work. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, or anything else that you may be struggling with, I am here to guide and empower you on your path to emotional wellbeing.


About Dr Goldthorpe

My name is Dr Robin Goldthorpe, and I am a HCPC accredited clinical psychologist. My practice is based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, although I work online with clients across the United Kingdom (UK) and beyond. I hold a professional doctorate in clinical psychology, which means I have considerable experience working with people with mental health difficulties and have received significant training in delivering evidence based interventions. I use an integrative approach in therapy, which means I draw on multiple types of therapy including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), and Mindfulness.
